Applicants please note: 

  • If you are new to using SmartyGrants, State Library has an FAQ guide for new users available. 
  • You can 'Save Progress' of your application and come back to it at a later time without losing your information. 
  • Once you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation email and a completed copy of your application for your records. 
  • Applications received after the closing date will not be considered without prior approval. 
  • Applicants will be required to submit a report at the conclusion of the project. Reporting templates will be provided by State Library once this application has been approved. 

RLQ Places and Spaces Grant

 

Through the Places and Spaces Grant, Rural Libraries Queensland (RLQ) services, have the opportunity to apply for funding to support refurbishment or relocation of library spaces and /or purchase of equipment and resources support increased services, or outreach.

A total pool of $300,000 is available through Public Library Funding, with councils able to apply for a project of between $10,000 and $50,000.

Grant guidelines have been developed to assist councils in developing applications for funding. Please read these Guidelines carefully before completing the application form.
